Re: CMM 5 Level , QA Processes
Hi,
Your question is subjective which can not be answered in short space. However, I'll try to answer your question.
There are some Key Process Areas in all the CMM or CMMi levels. These Key Process Areas are specific and generic goals. Based on these goals processes can be defined.
The process are defined at organizational level and Quality Manual is released along with the Quality Management System within the organization with some version control mechanism.
Quality Management System includes Processes, Forms, Guidelines, Annexure and Process Manuals.
The various processes can be:
- Project Estimation Process
- Requirements Management Process
- Project Management Process
- Risk Management Process
- Software Quality Assurance Process
- Software Configuration Management Process
- Development Process
- Maintenance Process
- Migration Process
- Defect Prevention Process

Re: CMM 5 Level , QA Processes
But when we go to implement these processes, say for Example project management process, then what are the key points that has to be considered while implementation & also decide priority for each point in the process, to make it more effective.

Re: CMM 5 Level , QA Processes
First is to define the objective and scope of the process. Then, after discussion with various project managers and analysing the nature of projects, define the procedures for various activities. For example:
- Project Initiation
- Project Planning
- Estimation
- Risk Management
- Project Tracking
- Project Measurement
- Project Closure
- Project Initiation
- Project Planning
- Estimation
- Risk Management
- Project Tracking
- Project Measurement
- Project Closure

Re: CMM 5 Level , QA Processes
Quality assurance is more than just manual testing. Today’s systems are
more complex than traditional approaches can handle. New automated test
techniques have evolved allowing machines to exhaustively and
automatically test themselves for errors. Compared to traditional manual
testing techniques, automated testing can save over 80% of the cost and time of manual testing while producing much higher levels of uptime in the initial release of a new or replacement system.
